#35 Gila Valley Arizona Temple

February 11. 2022

After finishing at the Tucson temple in the morning, we grabbed some lunch at Eegee's and took the 2.5 hour drive to Gila Valley temple.  We made it without any problems and showed up a bit early for our Baptism appointment.  They were very nice and even let us do a few extra names since we were in between groups and we were able to do 36 baptisms.  The font was beautiful and elegant, but nothing really stood out in it.

After baptisms, I took the boys back to the hotel and they hung out there while I went back to the temple to do an Endowment and some sealing.  They had separate rooms for both terrestrial and telestial.  The mural that surrounded the room, was very reminiscent of the local area.  There were several paintings in the temple of the river, so I'm guessing it's the Gila river.  One of my favorite things in the terrestrial room was the hanging lights.  They had these beautiful blue crystal in them that were really cool.  The stained glass was beautiful, but there were no special pieces on the ceilings.

The celestial room was beautiful!  I loved the soft blue colors and the subtle blue fabric on the sofas.  The chandelier in the celestial room was one of my favorite every.  It was stunning.  It had all these tear drop crystals that made it look like it had leaves and flowers.

After I did an endowment, I did sealings.  I was able to do 5 couples and 5 children.  I LOVED the fabric on the chairs in the sealing room.  The chairs had this cream shimmery fabric.  It looked like it was a glittery chair.  It was stunning.  The sealing room had mini versions of the chandelier from the celestial room.

Tomorrow morning, I'll be back to finish up with Initiatories.
