Today Audrey, Enoch & I were able to take Ammon to the temple for the 1st time to do baptisms. We went to the Billings Montana temple, which was readily available for appointments. I've been trying for months to get appointments in Utah and haven't had any luck.
This temple is particularly beautiful! They have a fountains in the vestibule when you walk in. Also, behind the recommend desk, in the waiting area, there is a massive glass skylight, which you can look through and see the angel Moroni. They are the only temple that has this.
The baptistry was beautiful. I love going to temples out of Utah because you often get the red carpet treatment with temple presidents that come and give a short talk to you. They tried to get the temple president, but he was in a meeting, so the coordinator gave us a spiritual message. I love when they do that! It helps set a beautiful spirit.
One other nice thing about out of state temples is that we often get to do lots of names! We each were able to do 10 names, so we got 40 baptisms done! Amazing!
After we went to the temple, we followed up with our traditional ice cream trip after. We went to Candy town, where, we got a huckleberry lemonade, an orange creamsicle shake, and a vanilla ice cream soda. And we stocked up on taffy and candy for the other kids.
