Orlando Florida Temple

March 17, 2023

This was my first standby trip to use Elliott's flight benefits.  I was planning on going to Altanta & Baton Rouge, but those flights were full and I didn't quite know how this system worked, so I ended up changing and flying to Orlando & Indianapolis.

The Orlando Temple was very similar to the Mt. Timpanogos, but a bit smaller and overall not quite as nice.  I would say the style looks a bit older like it has some architecture styles of the 60"s, but it was built in the 90's.

I wouldn't be surprised if it gets an interior Rremodel soon, because it's just not quite up to the level of newer Temples.  But it does have some really nice designs.  It has domes all over the place.  Dome over the font. Dome over the staircase. Dome over the sealing altars.  My favorite one is the Dome in the Celestial room that is beautiful stained glass.  It's stunning!  That for sure is my favorite part.

This temple didn't have separate creation and terrestrial rooms.  The endowment room had a velvet cap that was kind of like the rail on the walls around the altar that was flamingo pink.  I was really curious if they were going to use that color on the sealing altars, but they didn't.

I would rate this temple as a B as of now, as the mismatched interior decor and lower quality details like office ceiling tiles in the ceiling office, formica counters in the bathroom, metal initiatory dividers.  But the stained glass in this temple is spectacular!

I was able to do 10 baptisms, 5 intiatories, 1 Endowment, 3 couple sealings and 6 children sealings.
